I haven’t got Internet hooked up in my new apartment yet. But with an unlimited data plan on my phone, I can cope well enough. VoIP calls even work great over it.
To get this working with your Windows Mobile, go to Start | Internet Sharing, plug in a USB cable and press Connect. The phone companies tell you that it’s not possible and you need a data card, or a “tethered plan” – but don’t believe them.
Of course this wouldn’t be possible back home in Australia, since the telcos charge a fortune for mobile data.
